In the fall of 2012, improvements to the Aspen Airport and taxiway began. We installed over 10,000 feet of storm sewer including 27 inlet boxes along the side of the runway in Aspen, Colorado. We also installed two Glycol storage tanks averaging 15,000 gallons each and a complete recovery system. All of this was constructed under the new airplane deicing pad next to the taxi way. In order to minimize the disruption to airflow traffic, the majority of this work was completed at night, from hours of 11pm to 7am.
